Nectarine Banana Smoothie Recipe


  • 1 1/2 oz baby spinach
  • 1 nectarine - pitted
  • 1 banana - peeled
  • 1 tbsp pea protein
  • 1 tbsp flaxseed
  • 1 container non-dairy coconut yogurt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup ice

Similar to peaches, but with a smoother skin, nectarines are high in beta-carotene, vitamin C, and lutein, a potent antioxidant that helps to protect eyes and skin. Because of their inflammation-lowering and collagen-plumping serving of Omega-3s, flax seeds are another great ingredient for a healthy complexion, as is spinach (thanks to its supply of zinc). Top this sweet and creamy breakfast off with a banana (potassium and magnesium), coconut yogurt (more Omega-3s) and pea protein, and you have a light meal replacement that will have you glowing.
