Honey Orange Citrus Wake-Up

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz baby kale
  • 4 oz honeydew
  • 1 orange - peeled
  • 1 lemon - juiced
  • 1 tbsp hemp seed
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup ice

Even though they taste acidic, lemons are actually quite alkalizing, and help rebalance the body’s pH. Because of their high levels of antioxidants, citrus fruits are great at fighting against inflammation, and kale is full of fiber, which is necessary for controlling blood sugar spikes. Get more than an entire day’s worth of vitamin C in this low sugar, low fat alternative to that sweetened, store-bought juice.
