Butternut Chai Smoothie Recipe


  • 1 1/2 oz baby spinach
  • 4 oz butternut squash
  • 1 banana - peeled
  • 1/2 tsp chai spice
  • 3 tbsp almonds
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup ice

Butternut squash provides beta carotene and fiber, as well as a delicately sweet smoothie base, and the combination of a banana and chai spices creates the perfect chai latte effect. Top it off with a dash of vitamins A, C, E and K from spinach, and you have all the flavor of a delicious milkshake with a nice nutritional punch.
