Blueberry Apple Smoothie Recipe


  • 1 1/2 oz baby spinach
  • 3 oz blueberry
  • 1 apple - chopped
  • 1 lemon - juiced
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 3 tbsp cashews
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup ice

High in fiber but low in sugar, blueberries contain vitamins C and K. Continuously ranked as a highly nutritious food, regular consumption of blueberries has also recently been shown to help fight against Alzheimer’s disease. Another super nutritious food, hemp seeds are considered a “perfect protein” because they contain 20 amino acids, including the 9 essential amino acids that our bodies don’t produce on their own. Double the protein with some heart-healthy cashews, and add some spinach for vitamins K and A, and you’ve got a balanced, hydrating snack for any time of day.
