Calming Apricot Chamomile

  • 1 1/2 oz baby spinach
  • 4 oz honeydew
  • 2 apricots - pitted
  • 1 tbsp chamomile flowers
  • 1/2 lemon - juiced
  • 1 tbsp flaxseed
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup ice

Apricot season is quite short — the end of May through mid-July — which means you should eat these high-fiber, low-calorie fruits while you can! This smoothie, which is perfect for those quiet moments after a big outdoor celebration, also includes chamomile, a mild relaxant and sleep aid. Because of its serving of omega-3 fatty acids, flaxseed is another great way to relax your muscles. Pro tip: You can soak the chamomile flowers in hot or warm water to soften them and fully bring out their fragrance. Toss water and flowers in the blender.
