Hemp seeds are usually recommended for vegetarians and vegans because they contain about 35 grams of protein per tablespoon. In addition to that massive amount of muscle-building goodness, hemp seeds are also high in Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids (GLA). Omega-3s are known to benefit the heart, lower cholesterol, and even help the brain function better. If you’re not a fan of the taste of fish oil (which most people take for Omega-3s), hemp seeds are a good alternative!
