This Menu shows all of the smoothie recipes for the week of July 8th through July 14th. Now, on to fruity, satisfying smoothies that pack a healthy punch of fiber!
Lavender Plum Pop
Used as a natural headache remedy for centuries, lavender is a calming, relaxing flower that can immediately perk up any smoothie. An orange provides a nice dose of vitamin C and beta-carotene, and a plum provides antioxidants, fiber, and is a low glycemic fruit. Ease into your day with this low sugar, low calorie treat that will nourish your whole body.
Strawberry Lime Cooler
Few foods symbolize summer more than sweet strawberries. Add some tart lime to bring out the flavors and add a bit of tropical zest. Coconut water adds electrolyte-rich hydration, and baobab powder provides calcium, B vitamins, and more vitamin C than a serving of oranges! Combine the fat-burning potential of high doses of vitamin C (from the strawberries, lime and baobab), with the high fiber and omega-3 fatty acids from flaxseed, and you’ve got a light smoothie that can make a big dent in your daily weight loss journey.
Peanut Butter Strawberry Jam
A PB&J in a glass, this high fiber smoothie is full of healthy fats thanks to a tablespoon of natural peanut butter and chia seeds. There's also vitamin C infused strawberries, which are actually low in sugar (despite their sweet flavor). Add in an apple for healthy antioxidants, and mild baby spinach for vitamin K and iron, and you have a balanced breakfast that tastes like dessert.
Apple Lemon Ginger
Lemon and ginger are an ideal "detox" combo because they help your organs and immune system work at optimal levels. Ginger is an incredible anti-inflammatory (and may help balance blood sugar), and lemon is alkalizing and full of vitamin C. Add in some almonds for a satiating serving of healthy fats, protein, and fiber, and this clean drink can become a light meal replacement that works any time of day!
No coffee needed if you start your morning off with this smoothie! Matcha tea provides a dose of natural caffeine, as well as L-Theanine, an amino acid that helps induce calmness. This combination helps you feel relaxed and focused, without any of the jitteriness that a morning latte can sometimes bring. Combine that with a hefty serving of vitamin C from pear and kiwis, along with healthy protein and fiber from hemp protein, and you have a light, low-fat breakfast or snack that will power you through your whole day.
Maqui Pineapple Morning
Because of their high antioxidant content, maqui berries are the perfect way to amp up the health benefits of any smoothie, especially because they also have a dose of iron, potassium and calcium. Both pineapple and squash are hydrating (not to mention full of vitamin C), and hemp seeds create a creamy smoothie base as well as provide healthy fats. This low calorie smoothie is the perfect way to start your day while moisturizing your skin from the inside out!
Orange and banana are a classic flavor combination (not to mention the fact that they bring vitamin C, potassium, fiber and magnesium to the table), and when you combine them with the healthy fat of chia seeds and almonds - both of which help create a creamy smoothie base - you get a satisfying, high-fiber breakfast that will keep you full for hours and power your body with natural energy.
This fiberful blend will get your system running smoothly! Apricots are a good source of catechins, a family of flavonoid phytonutrients. These small fruits contain four to five grams of the anti-inflammatory catechins, as well as vitamins A and C. Speaking of vitamin C, rosehip powder is an excellent source. It’s also an anti-inflammatory, and may help regulate blood sugar levels, cholesterol, and blood pressure! This light drink is a fantastic nutrient-dense meal replacement, or a energy-boosting snack.
